Designing a watchful eye

Fieldhawk is a newly developed mobile app that monitors the stamping presses of its parent company, Nidec Press & Automation. When NPA came to us with Fieldhawk, they had only a name and an idea of what they wanted. We knew that the identity had to be more than just a hawk, it needed to relate to the features of the application’s main selling points: remote monitoring and instant alerts from presses; while also coinciding well with the existing Nidec brand.

After conducting user testing and revealing the new application at the Fabtech tradeshow in Chicago, Fieldhawk was brought to life. It is now recognized as an innovative product of Nidec Press & Automation and the app is currently available for download in both the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
